OUR STORY
Seven years ago, a client asked us a simple question: could we recreate that movie Love Actuall? We said yes, and we've been doing it ever since.
I perform in the band myself whenever I can. I'm a professional choral and jazz singer — I front my own band, Frankly Jazz, and have played weddings and events for over 16 years. When we're running a choral lineup for the Love Actually Band, I'm usually the one leading it. Go for the Gospel version instead, and our gospel choir takes over.
We've built a proper team around this: musicians based here in Yorkshire, others we call on around the country, and solid teams in Sarasota, Dallas, Boston and Chicago — so we can bring the same reveal to ceremonies on either side of the Atlantic.
One we're genuinely proud of: we've performed the surprise at the Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair — the actual church where the wedding scene was filmed in Love Actually. Doing the real thing, for a real couple, in the same building where the movie's own surprise was shot — that one's not lost on us.
Other favourites: a sixteen-piece reveal at the Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota, and a glass-walled venue in St Louis (stunning, if a little warm under the lights) and L’Abbeye des Vaux de Cernay in Paris. Picking a single favourite is genuinely hard — but the moment never gets old: the couple's faces, the gasp from the guests, and best of all, when everyone joins in and sings.
